Membership
Membership costs $30 per year. Our fiscal year runs from May 1 through April 30, so membership renewals are due on May 1. Download a printable membership form below.
Meetings
The guild meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Athens United Methodist Church, 118 South Main Street, Athens, PA. The meeting starts at 10:00 am in odd months and 7:00 pm in even months, unless otherwise noted on the meeting schedule. There is no meeting in July and we have an off site picnic in August. We have a potluck holiday party at the December meeting.
Many members arrive early to visit with their quilting friends and enjoy refreshments. After each meeting we have Show & Tell to share our quilts, experience, and knowledge with others. Visitors are welcome to attend one meeting to see if they would like to join our guild.
Meeting Cancellations
If Athens School District is closed the day of our meeting due to inclement weather, our meeting is cancelled. If there is a delayed school start, the meeting is not cancelled, and you will have to use your own judgement based on your local road conditions.
If Athens School District has a weather-related early dismissal, our evening meeting is cancelled.
School closings are announced on local news websites and the following local radio stations: WATS/WAVR (102.1 FM - Sayre), Wiggle (100.3 FM - Troy), and WTTC (95.3 FM - Towanda).
